‘Kookaburra Gite’ is located on the ground floor of a double storey
house in the village of La Redorte on the Canal du Midi and provides
the ideal spot from which to take full advantage of the entire region.
The house is within easy reach of the shops and commerce in the village
including a patisserie, butcher’s, pharmacy, supermarket, petrol station,
newsagency, bank and post office. Mobile traders regularly visit the
market square selling a variety of fresh goods and there is even a visiting
take-away pizza service. There is a typical French café and the restaurant
‘La Rivassel’ is a 5 minute walk away and right on the canal. If you
fancy venturing further afield there are a variety of restaurants and
cafes in the nearby port town of Homps.
